Researching your family tree or trying to find a bit of local history? This is the place to find your information. This collection includes local, Texas, and American genealogy. The department is staffed by knowledgeable volunteers from the Navarro County Genealogical Society. They are here to help point you to the vast variety of documentation available in this department. We have four computers for public use. They provide access to ancestry.com and other databases to assist in finding graves, newspapers, cemeteries, and vital statistics to help in your search.

We have genealogical books and periodicals from 34 states, most Texas counties, American wars and military records, immigration, heritage, family histories, Corsicana City Directories, ethnics, medical, religion and “how to” books. Some school yearbooks have been donated to us. A collection of old maps is also available. A map of the location of cemeteries and landmarks of Navarro County has been compiled as a helpful tool for your research.

We have an extensive collection on Navarro County genealogy and local history. This includes history books, information on Churches, Communities, Cemeteries, Marriages and some special interest books. We also have vast collection of vertical files on families of Navarro County and Obituaries.
