Saturday Derrick Days festivities include a morning parade, chili cook-off, Gospel Stage, main entertainment stage featuring a battle of the bands, vendors, food booths, historical tours, rodeo, car show with auction, horseshoe and washer tournaments, zip lining and more. Children’s activities include pet adoptions, a carnival and amusement rides. Discover Corsicana’s rich history which celebrates Texas’ first oil boom at the turn of the century. Derrick Days is held in vibrant downtown Corsicana, full of antique shops, restaurants, unique clothing stores and more. Raffle tickets for sale, $25 each, for a chance to win a 2017 Camaro donated by Frank Kent Country. Proceeds go to Corsicana Police Department. Exciting rodeo action continues for a second night. Contestants from the Cowboys Professional Rodeo Association and the United Professional Rodeo Association as well as thrilling American Freestyle Bullfights and the McCoy’s Mutton Bustin' for the little ones. The action-packed, fast-paced performance features the award-winning livestock of the Hat Brand Rodeo Company. Tickets are $10 at the door.
